News & Innovations

P&O Cruises "Fleet complete"
Radiopark successfully completed the installation on the third ship in Southampton: P&O Britannia. Another beautiful cruise ship that makes us want to go on a long vacation. Background music is all set so that guests (and crew!) will enjoy the atmosphere.

With completing the installation of the ambient-music system on board the Britannia, Radiopark supplies the complete P&O fleet.

The P&O Cruises fleet is now setting sail with sound concepts that suit the brand and the guests. Radiopark’s music programs are not mixed “playlists”, they are musical worlds, rich in variety. The multi-year contract was signed with P&O Cruises and Cunard Line which also includes new build ships for 2020 and 2022. At the same time, the agreement with Cunard Line has been extended for several years. Guests on board Queen Elizabeth, Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria have been enjoying tasteful music by Radiopark on their sea voyages for a number of years now.

SAGA Cruises with Radiopark
The new cruise ship of SAGA Cruises, Spirit of Discovery, started its maiden voyage on 10th July. Radiopark provides the right music on board.

The leading music producer in the cruise industry remains on course: starting in July 2019, Radiopark will be sounding the Saga Cruises’ newest ship with specially curated music programs. The music editors visited Meyer Werft to create the various programs that will be played on board by Radiopark in the future. For the team around Arndt-Helge Grap, on-the-spot research is part of the package. To ensure that the musical equipment is just as unique as the interior, the Hamburg music experts always develop the concept in harmony with the individual spaces – matching the brand and the people.

The Spirit of Discovery is the first of two new ships built especially for the successful English company. On 10th July, the luxury ship left Dover for its maiden voyage. The Spirit of Discovery can accommodate up to 999 passengers, and not only the service level is exclusive: each of the spacious cabins offers its guests a balcony. Radiopark is very familiar with the customer and his needs: SAGA has been part of the Hamburg-based company’s portfolio since 2016. Radiopark also supplies the sound for the SAGA Sapphire. Another addition to the British cruise company’s fleet is currently under construction at Meyer Werft. The sister ship, Spirit of Adventure, will set sail in 2020 with an exclusive sound concept that fits.
