Sartori & Berger was established back in 1858 as a port agency in Kiel, Germany. Soon diversifying to ship operations, the company operated a fleet of more than 120 own vessels between the 1860s and 1975. In 1967 it was acquired by the Knudsen family. Subsequently the family owned business Sartori & Berger went through a period of intense restructuring which resulted in a concentration on maritime services, including a German-wide port agency network, Kiel-Canal agency, port services for cruise vessels and ferries, stevedoring and terminal operations, passenger-related services as well as forwarding, consulting services and the representation of international hull underwriters and P&I Clubs. Today Sartori & Berger has grown into a leading cruise services provider, by continuously expanding its services portfolio, improving quality standards and optimizing cost efficiency. In August 2015 Sartori & Berger opened a new branch office in Gdansk and is able to provide its services throughout Poland.
